Hawk arrived at Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary in October 2014. His mother was poached in the Kruger National Park. He was over a year old and not in a good condition when he arrived.

Hawk is a feisty and clever young rhino and incredibly brave. The first time he was introduced to the larger rhinos, he went straight up to them with no fear.

Growing up, he shared an enclosure, and bonded strongly, with Timbi, Forrest and Olive.

Hawk enjoys living at Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary. He loves the freedom he has after being released into the wilderness, grazing the green grass and wallowing in the mud with the other orphans.

We are proud to see him as a free young rhino bull.
