Successful conservation of the rhino species and its ecosystem requires an inclusive approach with our neighbouring communities, of which many experience a high unemployment rate. We currently employ 150 local community members in areas of antipoaching, security, and environmental management which includes road maintenance, fire management, fence management and alien invasive plan control. We are expanding into hospitality, animal care and agricultural production. Our youth development programme is in partnership with Investec Bank.
